Barbara Jean Hall Linton died on Oct. 3, 2017, at her home in Powell. She was 82.
Barbara was born Oct. 30, 1934, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Marjorie Ruth Wilson and David Glenn Hall. She received a high school education.
She married Raymond Mason Linton on May 4, 1952, in San Diego, California. The couple lived in the South Dakota towns of Mitchell, Gregory, Avon, Hill City and Spearfish, as well as Las Vegas, Newcastle, Wyoming, Anchorage, Alaska, and Powell.
Barbara was a retired teacher's aide, and a member of the Lutheran church. She enjoyed reading, painting and watching the NFL, especially her Raiders team.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, and her parents, David Glenn and Marjorie Ruth.
Barbara is survived by sons David R., of Gillette; Jeff (Cindy) of Powell; Doug (Sue) of Box Elder, South Dakota; daughter Naomi of Anchorage, Alaska; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. with Randy Leisey officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Stacey Linton McFarland, Jenn Linton, Zac Linton, Dave Linton, Dustin Linton, Drew Schlup, Erich Schlup, Chelsea Roan and DJ Linton.
