On August 14, 2026, Blanche E. Stebner went home to her heavenly father at the age of 91.Blanche was born on July 6, 1935 to Delbert and Mary Ellen (Wright) Coorough at home in Powell, WY. She only had one sibling, her brother, Robert (Bob) Coorough. On November 6, 1954, Blanche married Jim Stebner. They shared over 65 years together and made their home in Powell and spent many summers at their cabin in Crandall. Jim passed on August 21, 2020. To their union, they had three sons: Curt, Lance and Todd. After Jim's passing, Blanche moved into the Rocky Mt Manor.Blance was an avid china painter and enjoyed sewing and crafting. Jim and Blanch owned the Gold Thimble for many years together. Blanche and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Coorough owned the Book Nook in downtown Powell.Blanche worked as a switch board operator for Mountain Bell and also a secretary for the Presbyterian Church.Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and she was so thrilled to meet her new great granddaughter earlier this year.The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Childers, Dr. Poulson and the loving, caring, staff, nurses and EMTs at the Powell Valley Health Care. And to her extended family at Rocky Mountain Manor. She loved you all so much.Blanche was proceeded in death by her parents, Delbert and Mary Ellen Coorough, husband, Jim Stebner, sister-in-law, Bonnie Coorough and niece Cindy Collins. Blanche is survived by her three sons; Curt and Connie Stebner of Powell, Lance and DeyLynn Stebner of Cowley, Todd and Michelle Stebner of Greybull. Her seven grandchildren; Cory Stebner of Powell. Chancey and Christa Buhler-Stebner of Powell, Landen, Boston and Rylan Stebner of Cowley, and Mason and Megan Stebner of Greybull. She is also survived by her great granddaughter, Cyahlyn Constance Buhler-Stebner and her brother Bob Coorough of Powell and his children, Ned, Colleen and their families. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 beginning at 10:00am at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell. Officiating the service will be Kurt McNabb.
