Beulah Mae Dorman, age 96, passed away September 14, 2023 in Billings Montana.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Powell.

She was born in Liberty, Missouri to George and Georgia Roberts on December 3, 1926.  She grew up and attended school in Mason City, Nebraska.  On December 7, 1943 she married Duane Dorman in Broken Bow, Nebraska.   They eventually moved to Powell, WY where they bought a small farm in 1946 in the Willwood area South of Powell.

As the family grew over the next few years they sold the Willwood farm and purchased a farm north of Powell in 1954.  At that time Duane started a new job with Elk Basin gas plant.  Beulah was kept very busy as the mother of 5 children and as they also kept farming for several more years.   As her children got older, she took on a job outside the home working for Sawyers grocery store for a number of years.  She was well known for the wonderful food she prepared for her family and guests.  She was also very talented musically.  She taught herself how to play the organ, the accordion, and the keyboard. She loved religious music and spent many hours playing and enjoying music

Upon retirement, Beulah and Duane split their time between Powell and Yuma, Arizona.  They spent 24 years in Yuma and met many good friends there.  They enjoyed traveling and spent a lot of time in retirement traveling across the country in their motorhome.    Beulah also enjoyed boating, fishing, and riding with Duane on their Honda Goldwing motorcycle.

Beulah loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.    Family was very important to her.  She was always inquiring as to what “the kids” were doing.

She will be remembered as a loving caring mom who thought the world of her family and was so very proud of each and every one of them.   In her final days she expressed  how wonderful it was to have all her family around her and how much she loved each one of them.  She said many times, “I’ve had a pretty good life”.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Duane Dorman, son Jerry Dorman, daughter-in-law Kim Dorman, great grandson Tommy Dorman, grandson, Riley Goldie, parents George and Georgia Roberts, her sisters Martha Davis, Mary Royal, Lucille Peterson and her brother Archie Roberts.

Beulah is survived by her sons Steven Dorman (Lanae), Rick Dorman (Pixie), Jim Dorman (D’Arlyne) and daughter Jolene Sharbono (Chet).  She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren,  21 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
