Cameron Joseph Nielson (Cam) was the beloved sone born to Cody Moncur Nielson and Alan D Nieslson in Salt Lake City, Utah April 4, 1994. He was later joyously joined by his favorite sister and best friend forever Courtney Nicole Nielson on November 4, 1993. Cameron sadly left this earth on October 13,2023 leaving many broken hearts.

He graduated with the class of 2013. Cam Played golf for the panthers eventually earning a spot on the traveling team for the State title and earning a most improved award. Coach Hildebrand had an amazing impact on Cameron and “Hildy will always be my hero”.

Cam earned his welding certificate from Northwest College and later moved to Anchorage Alaska and furthered his welding training earning an advanced, specialized training for pipeline welding at Charter College. Prior to his death he was pursuing a degree in underwater welding.

Cameron’s fondest moments were the memories he made spending time with family and cousins who he absolutely loved with all he had. He had a very special relationship with his grandma Elaine Moncur. He loved his sister dearly and tormented her relentlessly yet confided in her and was her biggest fan and protectorate.

He couldn’t wait for the 4th of July to spend time in Richfield, Utah with his very good cousins. He loved camping, the parade and most of all blowing up fireworks. He enjoyed being able to spend time with his grandma Colleen and Grandpa Dode.

He was very well known for his shenanigans with his best friends Mckayla, Logan, Seth, Will, Zack, Herman, Jeremy, Jake M. Stevi and Alvero and so many more. I apologize for any I have inadvertently left out.

His favorite time was being outside and being busy. He loved fishing, hunting, and exploring Heart Mountain especially with cousins at Grandma Elaine’s house. His later years he spent

Fishing with his dad in Alaska and spending and time with his best friend and dog Sophie.

Cam was an excellent piano player and singer which he didn’t like to admit. He never missed a chance to sing and play Fly Me To Th Moon by Frank Siatra as grandma Elaines lullaby at bedtime.

Camerson had a pure soul. His his pure heart was big and the largest part of his life. He always looked for the best in others when others wouldn’t or had given up on others. He loved the simplest of things, his friends, his family, animals, and a great time.

Cam will be greatly missed. As he would want, he would ask everyone to be kind, speak kind, treat all people with respect and kindness, and be a good human. We have no idea what that individual is going through and what a simple word or gesture might change their life.

Cameron, Cam, you will be missed more than you know. You are loved more than you will ever comprehend. Be our guardian angel and watch over us here. You will never be forgotten, and your memory and name will forever be carried onward. Until we meet again, Sophie, Gram, Mom, Courtney, Family, Cousins, Friends, and Friends unknown.

A Celebration of Cam’s life will be October 3rd at 200PM at the Powell Golf Course country .
