Carl Elbert Johnson

Carl Elbert Johnson, aged 96, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023 in Powell, Wyoming after a brief bout of pneumonia.

During his life, Carl was an electrician and farmer. 

Carl was a devoted family man, who loved his family above all else. He was a beloved husband to Midge and a devoted father to Richard Alan (Lana)- Billings, MT; Randall Carl (Lynette)- Burlington, WY; Larry Steven (Patty)-Auburn, CA. His humility, love, tenderness and charitable nature made him a cherished and loyal friend to many.

Carl enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing games, and dancing. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Carl Elbert Johnson is survived by his wife, Midge, 3 sons, 14 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 7 great, great-grandchildren, and sisters, Ruth Dohse and Laura DePriest,

brother, Bernard (Inez) Johnson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Carl is proceeded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia Maxine Brown and one great grandson, Blake Derek Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 114 Cedar Avenue in Burlington, WY on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior to the funeral at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Burlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund.

Carl will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
