Dallas (Harold) Robirds

Dallas Harold Robirds died on July 24th at Powell Valley Healthcare in Powell. Harold was born in December of 1929 to Dallas and Gladys (Jones) Robirds in Missouri. The family moved to the Powell area in 1933. Harold was raised on the family farm and learned the value of hard work.
After high school, Harold enlisted in the Air Force, served proudly during the Korean War, then attended and graduated from The University of Montana. He worked as a CPA until the age of 83 and took pride in the business he built and the clients he helped. Harold also served on the local school board for 12 years, coached youth baseball for 20 years and served as President of the Wyoming Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He married Marc (Martha) Robirds in Powell’s Presbyterian Church in 1955. They were married for 64 years and he referred to her as the “toughest person he ever knew.”
Harold loved his work, music, gardening, baseball, a hot cup of coffee, and above all, his family.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Marc (Day) Robirds; his sister, Joanne Crockett; his children, Lynn and Anita (Han) Robirds; Benjy and Jan (Robirds) Valdez; Pete Robirds and Jen Cerovski; Eric and Wendi (Winter) Robirds; 11 grandchildren, Breanne, Hannah, Dallas, Megan, Cole, Nicole, Chance, Eyob, Yared, Ayla, Atigun; one great-grandchild, Ivory; nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Donations can be made to Powell Hospital Foundation, NWC College Music Department, Union Presbyterian Church, Crisis Intervention or the charity of your choice.
