Daniel H Logan

Daniel “Dan” Houston Logan passed away on May 1, 2020, in Powell. He was 87.

Dan was born July 27, 1932, in Havelock, Iowa, to Adrian Chase Logan and Ethel Mae Carey. He received his high school diploma and met his future wife, V. Claudette Wilson, in November 1950. They were together for almost 70 years.

He moved to Powell in October 1963.

He was a master electrician and was the previous owner of Powell Electric, Inc. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Powell, the American Legion, and various antique automobile clubs.

Dan loved restoring antique and classic automobiles. He was most happiest when he was chauffeuring newlyweds in his 1909 Model T.

Dan and Claudette could frequently be seen in parades in the area, dressed in period clothing. Dan really enjoyed spending time with his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Harry Logan, Darius Logan and Richard Logan; and his sister Ethel Mae Schuller.

He is survived by his wife, Claudette; his sons, Michael (Debbie) Logan and Zane (Ramona) Logan; his daughter Danielle (Wes) Sansom; his brother Garth Logan; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A private visitation was held and cremation has taken place. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a celebration of life will be held this summer. Memorials may be sent to Claudette Logan, 340 South Edmonds Street, Powell, WY 82435. To promote Christianity to over 90% of the world’s population, donations can be sent in Dan’s name to the Christian Worship Hour, P.O. Box 2002, Aberdeen, SD 57402-2002.
