Deloros Marie Scott

Deloros wrote her own obituary.

Deloros Marie Brown Scott was born on March 9, 1931 in Bridgewater, Iowa to Eva Mae and Harry Brown, the youngest of five children. I attended 12 years of schooling in Bridgewater.

I married Charles William Scott Jr. on January 29 1949. Five children were born to this union Dianna, Ronald, Belinda, Donald, and Cynthia.

For 59 years of marriage we spent farming and raising our family. After Bill’s retirement from farming, we spent our winter months in Arizona. Enjoyed the many trips to the mountains and camping and hunting. And also enjoyed my hobbies, Stained Glass and painting.

Accepted the Lord as my Savior on April 10, 1966 at Nazarene Church in Cody. He has been my strength and peace ever since. When I stumble I go to 1st John 1:19.

When I am troubled or lonesome, the chorus of the song : “There is Something About That Name:” would come to mind, especially at night when I could not sleep. “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know, fills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go,” over and over again.

How wonderful it would be to sing “When We All Get Together in Heaven, What a Day of Rejoicing it Will Be.”

Charles William Scott accepted the Lord as his Savior in October of 2007. There was a peace about him that took him through his sickness and death on February 10, 2008. Jesus answers prayers.

Deloros was preceded in death by: her parents, her siblings, her spouse, Bill, and son, Donald. She is survived by Dianne, Ronald, Belinda and Cynthia; grand children; Greg and Brian Baker, Charlie and Andy Scott, Lisa Gregg and Nichole MacDonald Dewaters, Kristopher Scott and Kylena Palmer, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.
