Dennis Dean Eden

To the family, friends and acquaintances of Dennis Dean Eden.

Dad left us on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, just shy of his 80th birthday.We were given strict instructions that there be NO services or obituary. We have decided to share some tidbits about Dad.First and foremost, Dad loved his family. They were everything to him. We celebrated our parents’ “50th” wedding anniversary this past July. Combined, he and mom, Linda Kay Eden (Fulton) had four children: Dennis Lane Eden, Dana Sue Eden (Peterson), Carol Louise Nielsen (Mooren) and Martie Kay Mooren; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren so far.Dad was born and raised in Powell, Wyoming, to his parents Fred and Skinny (Hildreth) Eden, along with his older sister Deloris, older brother Don and two younger brothers, Keith and Billy.Dad’s parents owned a cafe in his youth. Until the end, Dad hated leftovers. The only exception was mom’s homemade beef or chicken and noodles.Wrestling is a family affair. Dad wrestled for Powell High School and loved to watch the matches, especially when one of his brood was on the mat.Summers were for irrigating and farming — Fourth of July in Cody at the parade — then picnic lunch with family.In later years, Dad worked for the irrigation district riding ditch.Winter months were for attending school functions, wrestling duals and tournaments, as well as long hours of ice fishing, family jaunts to cut down Christmas trees (we usually ended up with the Charlie Brown tree).Dad’s birthday of Nov. 19, 1945, was more times than not celebrated in hunting camp with the Fulton clan, friends and extended family.Dad’s last wish is for his saddle to take one last ride to hunting camp.Dad (Dennis) will be missed by us all.
