Diane
Pittman
April 8, 1952 – March 31, 2026
Memorial Service
Immanuel Lutheran Church
10:00 - 11:00 am (Mountain time)
Diane Lee Rood Pittman was called home into Jesus's arms on March 31st, 2026 in Powell, Wyoming, surrounded by loved ones.
Diane was born to Byron and Lorraine Rood on April 8th, 1952 in Powell. She grew up there and attended high school where she met her husband, Herb Pittman. They married in 1970 and spent 55 wonderful years together loving and raising their family.
After years of caring for children that she loved in her home (her own and others), Diane worked as a receptionist for Dr. Ken Hoffmann until her retirement in 2015. Through the years she enjoyed spending her time with Herb, her children, and especially her grandsons and camping with her family as often as she could. In retirement, she treasured traveling with Herb and her grandsons. Diane always found joy when she was with those she loved.
Diane is survived by her mother Lorraine Rood; her husband Herb Pittman; her daughter Lisa (Mike) Musso; her grandsons Garrett (Shareena) Musso and Wade Musso; her son Troy Pittman, her daughter Jenny (Jed) Teel; her step-granddaughters Trinity, Kailey and Jadyn; her siblings Donna (Calvin) Jones, Gail (Dennis) Bonawitz, Carol (Steve) Zawacki, Darrell (Karolyn) Rood, and Brad Rood; and several nieces and nephews.
Diane is preceded in death by her father Byron Rood, her nephew Darren Jones, and her mother-in-law Sammie Pittman-Kary.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Monday April 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Diane's name to her favorite charity: St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Diane will always be remembered for her laughter, her sharp wit, her doting kindness, and for how profoundly and selflessly she loved her friends and her family.
