"Donald Bruce Ogburn passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:45 Mountain Time, due to complications resulting from a recent stroke. He preceded in passing by his loving wife Maria, who passed away on April 11, 2011.
Bruce was 68 years old, and survived by his daughters Misty Epperson (Keith), of Atascadero, California; Megan Sadowski (Mark), of Paso Robles, California; his son Daniel Ogburn, of San Carlos, California, and his stepchildren, Larry Roberts of Dallas, Texas; Douglas Roberts of Las Vegas, Nevada; Candice Haller of Simi Valley, California; and Maria Hempel, of Taylors, South Carolina. His presence will always be with us. His love, mirth, energy and wisdom will be missed by his family and friends.
Bruce was born in November 1946 in Oxnard, California to Amos Lincoln Ogburn, Jr. and Viola Pearl Ogburn (nee Rodgers). He graduated from Thousand Oaks High School in 1964, and served in both the California National Guard and the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam in 1968.
Bruce was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints of Powell, Wyoming. Services will be held at the Church building on 7th street on August 15, 2015 at 10:00 am. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Thompson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 807, 111 W. Third Street, Powell, WY 82435."
