Helena Jane Flores, born on October 29, 1933, in Pine Point Township, Minnesota to Joseph Marshall and Agnes Ann Roberts, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Powell, Wyoming. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Helena's life was marked by an enduring spirit and deep love for her family.
On September 20, 1952, Helena married her devoted husband, Reynaldo Flores, in Glyndon, Minnesota, forging a partnership that would last until his passing in 2004. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family, which became the cornerstone of Helena's world. She is survived by their loving children, Reynaldo (Patty)Flores Jr., Ramon (Kathy) Flores, Mary Escobedo, Betty (Roy) Loudan, Rose Soria, Darlene Escobedo, Stella Alonzo, and Antonia (Bulmaro) Portillo. Helena's legacy also includes many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Helena had a passion for life, relishing in activities such as Bingo, jigsaw puzzles, and wordfind books. She found great joy in saying her Rosary each day and made special memories during summer visits with her grandchildren. Her warm and nurturing nature drawn from her love of family created a haven of happiness for all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Reynaldo Flores, as well as her daughter Carrie Shaffer. Her parents, Joseph Marshall and Agnes Ann Roberts, have also passed on. Helena's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her surviving family members and the many friends who were touched by her kindness and spirit.
A Rosary will be held in her honor on June 19, 2025, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church beginning at 5:00pm. This will be followed by a Funeral Service on June 20, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM.
As we remember Helena Jane Flores, we celebrate her life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
