Imajean Alice Trammel

Imajean (“Jeannie”) Alice Trammel was born on April 9, 1939 and passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 86, as a result of a massive stroke. Jeannie was able to enjoy living in her home until the day she passed away. When Jeannie was a young girl, she made a profession to serve God and was forever true to this commitment. Her love for God influenced her decisions, her work, her friendships and every part of her life. Jeannie loved the Gospel and loved to listen to the story and words of Jesus. Jeannie was born and raised in El Centro, California, close to the Mexican border. In 1987 she received a bachelor’s degree in education from Fresno State University, and then worked as a teacher for under-privileged children in Earlimart and Antioch, California. Jeannie moved to Powell, Wyoming in 2002. She loved to share the story of being moved by God to relocate to the Powell area. She worked in Powell as a substitute teacher for several years. Throughout her career, Jeannie was dedicated to her students and work. She had a special interest in children all her life. Jeannie is survived by her loving family, including her sons Doug of Powell, Wyoming and Gary (Carletta) of Lathrop, California, and daughter Sherry of Visalia, California, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Jeannie is also survived by sisters Patty Rittenhouse and JoAnne Stone, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric Rittenhouse and Bertha (Webb) Rittenhouse.Jeannie will truly be missed by her family, friends, and those with whom she met every Sunday morning and Wednesday night.
