James E. Davis

James E. Davis passed away at the Powell Valley Care Center on July 29, 2024.

He was the son of Lloyd and Mary Allen Davis and was born in Cody, Wyoming on August 13, 1933.

James attended school in Thermopolis, WY. He married Josephine Riedl on December 21, 1959. Throughout his adult life he was a rancher and worked for the railroad. He lived on the Northfork out of Cody, in Hyattville, WY, Tempe. AZ and Powell, WY.

James was a member of the Catholic Church and served with the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the South Side Cattle Association.

Surviving James are his sons Glen Davis and Charles Davis, seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine and his parents and two sons, Jimmy and Joe.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 am at the Mount View Cemetery in Basin, Wy.
