James A. Ross, 62, died Oct. 20, 2015, at the Powell Valley Hospital in Powell.
James was born Jan. 26, 1953, in Powell, to Kenneth and Ruth Ross. He graduated from Powell High School, and worked at Northstate Corp. in Powell.
He was a lifetime member of the NRA, Sons of the American Legion, Heart Mountain Rod & Gun Club and Black Powder Shooting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.
James was preceded in death by his father Kenneth, mother Ruth, and sister Judy Norris.
Funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Powell on Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. Pallbearers are Ron Miller, Ronald Ferguson Jr., Seth Connors, Dave Williams, Bert Nazer, and Greg Bently. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Lynch and Rick Worman. Viewing will be one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
