Jan Lowery Sons passed away on September 5, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana. She was born on May 29, 1946, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Alvin and Lillian Robertson. Jan lived in Pittsburg, Texas, and completed four years at Texas Tech. She worked as a computer programmer, bringing dedication and skill to her career. Beyond her work, she found joy in many meaningful pursuits. She was a member of Yellowstone Spinners and Weavers, enjoyed playing Mahjongg, and taught Bible studies. Her faith remained an important part of her life, and she was affiliated with New Life of Powell. On December 29, 1981, she married Kenneth Sons, and together they shared many years of marriage.

Jan will be remembered with love by her husband, Kenneth Sons. She is also survived by her children, Michael Sons and Jeff Sons, and by her daughters-in-law, Rachel Sons and Dannette Sons. She leaves behind her sisters, Kim Robinson and Pam Booth, as well as her brother-in-law, Bill Booth. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Robinson, and by her parents, Alvin Robertson and Lillian Robertson.

Jan’s life was marked by faith, learning, service, and the simple pleasures she shared with others. Her memory will remain a blessing to her family and friends.
