Jesse Dominguez

An ever present welcoming smile, a gentle, fun-loving demeanor, and a man good to the core - that is who Jesse Dominguez was. Jesse, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, brother in-law, father-in law, and friend, passed away in his dignified manner on September 11, 2009, in Powell, Wyoming, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his life and even in his struggle to live, he was always concerned with others instead of himself.
Jesse Dominguez was born on June 21, 1934, in Pigeon, Michigan to Louis Ybarra and Deonesia Dominguez. He was raised by his grandparents. Jesse attended public schools in Pigeon, Michigan and later put himself through college at Chicago Technical. Jesse worked as an Electronic Tester with AT & T for 33 years and also for Sears Roebuck for 29 years. He earned a variety of certificates for special training in technical areas. After his retirement, he was able to fulfill his dream of retiring to a quiet, relaxed life in Wyoming.
Jesse married his best friend and the love of his life, Estani Hernandez, on June 20, 1959 in Pigeon, Michigan. Jesse and Estani's love, respect and tenderness toward each other served as a model relationship to all. They always found ways to bring enjoyment and laughter into their lives.
To this loving union were born his beloved sons, Norbert and Rudy, and daughter, Mary. His grandchildren, too, were a source of pride and joy. Jesse relished the moments he spent with his family. He looked forward to family gatherings where he would grill a large batch of "brats" and would enjoy playing games out of doors, especially in his back yard. Jesse was an active participant and avid fan of sports, playing baseball, golf, bowling, and horseshoes throughout his life.
Surviving Jesse with love-filled memories and gratitude for his life are wife, Estani, son, Norberto J. Dominguez (Pam); Rudolph J. Dominguez (Gina); Mary J. Kwilos (Mark); Grandsons, J.J. Dominguez, Thomas and Patrick Kwilos; brother, Claude Bell; Sister-in-law, Phyllis Ibarra (Manuel); Brothers-in-law Conrad Hernandez; Manuel Hernandez (Brenda); John Bustos; Aunt, Manuela Dominguez; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be Tuesday, September 15, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Powell, Wyoming. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, at St Barbara's with Father Glenn Szcechowski officiating. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences and memories may be sent to Estani Dominguez at 656 Wood Street, Powell, Wyoming 82435.
Jesse will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Jesse, you will always be in our hearts, memories, and prayers.
