Joe Lennon, 88, passed away July 10, 2022, at Spirit Mountain Hospice in Cody. Joseph Edward Lennon was born in Harlowton, Montana, to David Merle and Eva Olene Wagoner Lennon on May 19, 1934. He was the youngest of four children with two older sisters and one older brother. Joe grew up in Roundup, Montana. He worked a variety of jobs from ranch hand to logger to truck driver and many in between. In 1953 Joe met the love of his life, Jeanette Russell, while working in Worland, Wyoming. Joe and Jeanette were married January 23, 1954, after just a few short months of dating and had 63 years together before Jeanette lost her battle with breast cancer in 2017. The couple had three children; Jay Dee, John and Jolene and made Powell their permanent home in 1967. Joe loved living in the Powell valley surrounded by the mountains he so enjoyed. He was an avid horseman and continued riding his horse in the mountains well into his 80's. In 2021 Joe moved into the Wyoming Pioneer Home in Thermopolis, Wyoming, where he made so many wonderful friends and was so very well taken care of in his last year.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Norma "Jean" Wacker, Helen Louise Devine, and Donald Merle "Bud" Lennon; his beloved wife, Jeanette, and his granddaughter, Jessica Lennon.
