Judith “Judy” Colleen Wambeke

Judith “Judy” Colleen Wambeke, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on April 1, 1942, in Casper, Wyoming. She passed away peacefully at her home in Deaver, Wyoming, July 2,2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and community spirit.

As a devoted housewife, Judy dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. She found immense joy in helping others, particularly through her involvement with senior luncheons in Deaver, where her compassionate nature shone brightly. Judy's loving heart made her a pillar of support in her community, always ready to lend a hand to those in need.

Judy’s hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit and creativity. She adored bowling and found great fulfillment in crocheting and knitting, crafting beautiful works that warmed the hearts of her loved ones. Additionally, she cherished moments spent camping and fishing, where she created precious memories with her family amidst the beauty of nature.

Above all, Judy was proud of her family. She recently celebrated a magnificent milestone with her dear husband, Jim Wambeke, marking their 65th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2025. The joyous celebration brought together family and friends from afar, a testament to the love they nurtured over the years.

Judy leaves behind a devoted family that includes her loving husband, Jim Wambeke, and her sons, Jimmy (Stephanie) Wambeke of Yuma, AZ, and Jeff (Brenda) Wambeke of Williston, ND. She also leaves her cherished son-in-law, Kevin Shay of Laurel, MT, as well as her siblings, Ivan Cauthorn of Littleton, CO, and Lola Jane (Wilbur) Wertz of Aurora, CO, along with her sister-in-law, Eva Cauthorn of Green River, WY. Judy's spirit will continue to live on through her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her values of love and generosity.

Judy joins her beloved daughter, Jeanea Wambeke-Shay, and her parents, Ivan and Maxine Cauthorn, along with her brothers, Johnny and Larry Cauthorn, and her sister, Sally Cauthorn, who have all preceded her in death. Though they are no longer with us, the bonds of family forged in love will remain unbroken.

A graveside service to honor Judy’s life will take place on July 12, 2025, at Deaver Cemetery, beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by a luncheon at the Deaver Town Hall.
