Ken Hockley, 76, of Powell, passed away on April 30, 2014 of natural causes. Ken was born June 2, 1937 to Leo and Helen Hockley, in Cody.
He was raised in Cody and attended the Cody Schools, graduating from Cody High School in the spring of 1956. Ken played football, wrestled, and ran in track. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt, fish,hike, backpack, camp, and loved the mountains.
He was married to Carol Reiter, and a son Steve was born to that union. They later divorced. Ken married Georgia Kiughorn in Greybull. They were married until Georgia's death in July, 2013.
Ken and Georgia managed the WYO motel, in Laramie, while he
completed his B.S. Degree in Education, at the University of Wyoming.
Ken is survived by brothers Marvin, Bob and Rick, son, Steve Hockley, of Saratoga, Step-children Susan Monson of Fountain Green, Utah, Lana Housley, of Utah, Kurt Kinghorn, of Buffalo, WY, and Holly Rexroat, of Wright, WY.
During the time he and Georgia lived in Burlington, he served one term as mayor.
He was a member of the LDS Church
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 9th, at 2:00 P.M. at the Burlington Cemetery.
