Lanette Carter
Lanette Carter, known by many as Mrs. Carter, went to join her beloved husband Larry, family, and their much loved dogs in heaven on September 8th, 2023. She was born in Bozeman, MT on March 15, 1955 to Newell and Daisy Sessions. She was the youngest of 4 children. Lanette’s true passion in life laid with her students at Parkside elementary where she taught kindergarten for over 30 years. She touched countless students lives as a teacher. She was a true mentor and a very loyal friend.
Lanette is survived by her sister Mikki Martinez of Thermopolis, numerous nieces and Nephews, in-laws, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry, parents Newell and Daisy Sessions, siblings Philip and Carol, nieces Candy, Veronica, and Felicity and nephew Scott.
Per Lanette’s request, there will be no services held and her ashes are to be scattered with her husband Larry’s ashes and the ashes of their many beloved canine companions at their favorite fishing spot in the Bighorn Mountains.
