Linda Jane Price

Linda J. Price, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, with her family by her side, at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana.

Linda was born on Oct. 21, 1945, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to Clinton T. and Juanita R. Gruener, and raised alongside her only sibling, brother Christopher Gruener, in the Scranton and Upper Montclair, New Jersey area.

Linda graduated from Montclair High School in 1963, and moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota, to attend Bethel University, where she met her future husband and lifelong partner, Roger A. Price. Roger and Linda continued their education at Bethel University until June 12, 1965, when they were joined in holy matrimony at Essex Baptist Church in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.

During family visits to Wyoming, Linda fell in love, and in late 1965, she and Roger packed their belongings into Roger’s 1956 Chevrolet two-door hardtop and left New Jersey, bound for Powell. The newly married couple spent the summer working odd jobs and enjoying the great outdoors, which Linda loved so much.

She spent the next several years as a busy homemaker, growing a family, and continuing her education.

In 1981, she graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Primary Education. She taught as an elementary educator in various locations, from Florida to Alaska, where she eventually retired.

Linda loved her family, traveling and spending time in the great outdoors. She was adored by all for her sense of humor, honesty, and truthfulness. You never asked Linda for her opinion, unless you were fully prepared to hear it.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roger; her brother Christopher Gruener of Newton Highlands, Massachusetts; her son David Price of Powell; and her daughters, Melissa Estes of Powell and Kari Price of Powell. She was an adored grandmother to Jenna Hammers of Sturgis, South Dakota, Allison Price of Powell, Andrea Price of Powell, Mandy Peche of Gillette, Zachary Estes of Raleigh, North Carolina, Audrey Estes of Powell, Taylor Estes of Powell, and Noah Estes of Powell; and great-grandchildren, Dezmond, Marley, and Cash, all of whom were her most cherished legacy.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m., at First Southern Baptist Church in Powell.
