Obituary

Lois Annette Forman, age 73, of Powell, WY, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026 at Powell Valley Health Care.

Born in Littlefield, Texas on December 24, 1952, to J.O. and Patsy Rogers, Lois was the youngest of three sisters. The family spent Lois’ early years in West Texas, then moved to a farm in Arizona throughout her middle school and high school years. She attended college in Arizona for two years. While working in Tucson she met Mike through the orchestration of her own father. Mike and Lois were wed in Tucson, AZ, on May 7, 1976. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mike and Lois were blessed with their first daughter, Haley, while living in Arizona in 1977. They moved to Powell, WY in 1978 to pursue farming opportunities. Corey was born in 1979, with Abbey following soon after in 1980.

Lois spent her life raising and caring for her children, managing Forman Farms, and ministering to so many around her. Her church family was an extended family in many ways. Mike and Lois were members of First Baptist Church (now Grace Point) for over 45 years. She gave generously of her time as a deaconess, Sunday School teacher, AWANA leader, MOPS mentor, and nursery and children’s ministry coordinator. Lois also devoted 33 years to Bible Study Fellowship, where she served in many capacities, most recently working in the children’s program.

While Lois was defined by her faith, that was closely followed by her joy in being a mother and grandmother. She carried so much pride for her family. Lois dearly loved her sisters, Phyllis and Linda, and she always looked forward to visiting her family in Texas, including her mother, who passed away last August. Lois will be remembered most for her strong faith, her hospitality, and her love for her family, friends, and anyone else in her path.

Lois is survived by her husband, Mike Forman of Powell, WY, son Corey Forman of Powell, WY, daughters Haley Vannatta (Brian Levin) of Billings, MT, and Abbey Fried (Andy) of Sheridan, WY, sisters Linda Phillips (Ollie) of Richardson, TX, and Phyllis Cuesta (Gary) of Oklahoma City, OK, and 6 grandchildren: Tyler, Caden and Luke Vannatta, and Olivia, Joshua, and Macy Fried. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Lauren Vannatta.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 am on June 6, 2026 at Grace Point Church in Powell, WY (9550 Kattenhorn Dr.). In honor of Lois' memory, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Camp Bethel (1710 US-14 E Shell, WY 82441).
