Lyle Laverne Sims

Lyle Laverne Sims passed away on June 25, 2022, at his home in Powell. He was 69.

He was born on Feb. 11, 1953, to John Jackson Sims and Lillian Estelle Scherer, in Graceville, Minnesota. 

He married Donna Lee Pantoja in June 1975. 

Lyle drove 18-wheelers over the road, in the oil field, and for the beet harvest. He always had a passion for trucking. He even taught many how to drive trucks. 

He enjoyed his grandkids and family, and walking his dog, Coco, all around town. He also enjoyed gardening, long drives in the mountains, and daily visits with his daughters. 

Lyle was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Gene Sims.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Pantoja Sims; sons Justin (Nikki) Sims, Keaton (Erin) Donlan, and Nathan Starr; his daughter Nicole (Jason) Timmons; his brothers Rudy Sims and Perry (Kathy) Sims; his sister Sandy Paggen; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held at a later date in Powell. Memorials may be sent to 536 Ave. C, Powell, WY 82435.
