Mary Kathryn Allen

Mary Kathryn Allen, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away June 8th, 2023 at home in Powell, WY.

Mary was born June 14th, 1944 in Pettis County, Missouri. She grew up in Northern California where she met Kenneth Allen and married him on June 19th, 1965 in Marysville, CA. The couple stayed together for 54 years before Ken’s passing in 2019. Together, they raised six children.

Mary worked most of her life in the banking industry. She worked for Key Bank in Cody for 11 years before transferring to First National Bank in Powell for over 20 years before retiring in 2013. Her friendly disposition and genial smile made her perfect for the job, and she made life-long friends through her work.

Mary’s dedication to family was apparent. She often hosted holidays at the family home in Powell and she enjoyed having generations of her family visit. She loved having children, nieces and nephews, and grandkids all under the same roof celebrating time together.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth, her sister Toni Mills, her grandson Luke JR. and two very special friends in Patty Ramsey and Vicki Tuss.

She is survived by her children Rory (Randi Lynn), Greg (Nicole), Mindy (John), Chris (Shauna), Kevin (Kelly), and Summer (Luke).

Also grandchildren Sabra (Drew), Katie (Hank), Tyler Anne (Mick), Beth, Jacob, Eric, Dawson, Isaac, Alli, McKenna, Tom, Kenny, Jaylin, Landon, Chris, Larkyn, and Larynn
