Nancy Nicholson of Powell died on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016. She was 67.
Nancy was born on Oct. 7, 1949, to Verle (Anderson) and Robert Korthaus in Rapid City, South Dakota.
The family later moved to Wyoming. Nancy graduated from Meeteetse High School as the salutatorian of the Class of 1967.
On Christmas Eve 1967, she married the love of her life, Chuck Nicholson. The couple owned High Country Telephone. They raised two children, Monty and Penny.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother Verle Korthaus.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Chuck Nicholson of Powell; father Robert Korthaus of Riverton; son Monty (Teresa) Nicholson; daughter Penny Hotovec (Kevin Cannon); brother Dennis (Cindy) Korthaus; sister Jacky (Rick) Kobbe; and aunt Karen Henrichsen. Nancy also is survived by her grandchildren Jenna and Abby Hotovec and Kalan, Colt and Wyatt Nicholson, as well as several nieces and nephews and great friends Polly and Pam.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Elks Lodge in Powell.
