Nicholas James Kerwin

Nicholas J. Kerwin of Powell died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings. He was 62.
Nick was born in Deadwood, S.D., on Feb. 28, 1951, to Ila and Martin William Kerwin.
Following high school, he attended college and lived in Spearfish, S.D., and Casper.
He married Patricia Ann Welborn on Jan. 3, 1976, in Casper, and the couple made their home in Powell.
Nick worked in the oil field and as a truck driver. He won first place in the Wyoming Truck Driver Championship.
Nick and Patricia raised two sons, James and Travis.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother Tony.
Nick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Kerwin of the family home in Powell; mother Cora Kerwin Verhultz of Spearfish; sons James Kerwin of Powell and Travis Kerwin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother Patrick Kerwin of Pomona, Kan.; sisters Jeannette Flager of Pomona, Kelly Kerwin of Pomona, May Lynn (Howard) Hall of Baker, Mont., Janet Kerwin of Spearfish, and Kim (Mark) Ginsbach of Spearfish. He also is survived by five grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
