Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 30 at the Union
Presbyterian Church for Pauline Williams, who died Tuesday, May 27 at
the Powell Valley Care Center at the age of 94.
The Rev. Mary Davis officiated at services and burial in Crown Hill
Cemetery, Powell.
She was born Oct. 10, 1913, at Inavale, Nebr., daughter of Roy Fulton
and Alice (Shoemaker) Fulton. The family moved to Oregon and then
Colorado, and she completed a high school education. She moved to
Powell in the 1940s.
She was a homemaker and well known in the community as a waitress at
the Skyline Cafe. For many years, she opened the cafe at 4:30 a.m.
daily to greet a faithful clientele.
She married George T. Williams in December, 1953, at Billings, Mont. Until the age of 93, she lived independently where she enjoyed
working in her yard and flower gardens. Then she moved into the
Heartland and later the nursing home.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Franklin of Spokane, Wash.;
brother, Chris (Maxine) Fulton of Powell; sisters-in-law, Helen
Fulton and Dode Fulton, both of Powell; three grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Reed; her husband,
George; brothers, Tom, Doc, Jim, Morris and Jack Fulton; sisters,
Esther Emery, Verdie Betz and Lucille Flitcraft; and granddaughter,
Melinda.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Matt Franklin, Bobby Caines, Donavan
Caines, Tyler Davison, Zeb Sand and Lenny Sand. Honorary pallbearers
were Blaze Sand and Johsua Davison.
