Rex G. Peters died at the home of his daughter on January 21, 2010



He was born in Alva, Oklahoma on December 21, 1914. His parents were Effie and Charles Peters.

His family moved to Montana when he was a baby and he lived in the Billings and Lockwood areas until he graduated from High school. He married Betty Swenson July 31 1938 in Billings. They lived in Columbus Montana for 5 years and then moved to Pavilion, Wyoming where he owned a grocery store. He served in World War II with the Navy, returning to Riverton, Wyoming after the war ended. They lived in Riverton until 1990 when they moved to Powell, Wyoming to be close to their daughter.



Rex was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joyce Linstrum and Connie Morris.



He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Betty, daughter Donna (Alvin) Doornbos of Powell, three Grandchildren Sheri (Jim) Core of Boise, Id. Nancy (Steve) Core of Green River, Wy. And Rex (Sarah) Doornbos of Alpine, Wy, six Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Granddaughter. He also had two brothers, Kenneth of Superior, Mt. And Norman, of Billings Mt. Many Nieces and nephews a brother in-law, Graham Baker of Libby, Mt. And Sister In-law, Elaine Steele of Billings, Mt.



His family and friends will miss his wit and humor. His stories have been a source of entertainment at all of the family get together's.



Cremation has taken place and as he requested a private celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please support a charity of your choice.
