It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Robert Thomas Doxey, on Jan. 26, 2026, in Powell, Wyoming. He left this world surrounded by love. He lived a life defined by dedication to his family, quiet strength and a generous heart.
Bob was born on Nov. 3, 1942, in Ogden, Utah. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Holland, (1961-1963) and remained devoted to Jesus Christ throughout his life.
Bob married Myrle Gleed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah, temple on June 23, 1966. He worked for the Weber School District (1996-2019) as a construction and maintenance worker, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. An exceptional woodworker, he took pride in creating with his hands and sharing his talents with others.
Above all, Dad was a devoted husband, loving father, and steady example of faith and service. He was a man who showed his love through his actions — always present, always dependable, and always willing to give more of himself than he asked in return. His family was the center of his world. He took great pride in being a father and grandfather. The lessons he taught, the values he lived by, and the love he gave will remain with us forever.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Myrle, and their children: Lee (Colette), Rebecca Erkkila (Chan), Michael (Wendy), Elizabeth Harrison (Jason), Joseph, Nathan (Tara), Mary Black (Nate), Robert (Haley), Sarah Haslam (Michael), and Anna Eggleston (Kevin), 61 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we had with him and for the legacy of love he leaves behind.
A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building on Avenue E, Saturday, Jan. 31 starting at 10 a.m. with a viewing the hour prior
Celebration of Life will be held March 20, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. at 3845 S. 2000 W. Roy, Utah.
