Robert Dale Koontz

Robert Dale Koontz of Cody died Dec. 21, 2021 in Cody.

He was born in Eureka, California, on Jan. 17, 1951, to William Benjamin Koontz and Lily Joyce Pinckard.
He graduated from high school in Vallejo, California.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a cement finisher by trade. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Robert loved the outdoors, fishing, cowboying and chewing the fat with friends and family.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Patty Koontz of Lakeside, Montana; and a sister, Linda Cropanese of Powell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Joyce; a sister Tammy and a brother Denny. Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
