Robert Willis Little

Robert Willis Little Jr., 68 of Powell, WY passed away on October 6th, 2023, after losing his battle with cancer.

Robert was born on August 23rd, 1955, to Robert and Betty Little in Rock Springs, WY. Robert was the youngest of 3 children. After Robert graduated from Powell High School in 1973, he followed his passion in sporting goods and held many job titles in this field of sales.

In 1982, Robert met and married the love of his life Kim Stevermer in Powell, WY. Kim had two daughters from her first marriage and Robert became a dad overnight.  He thrived at fatherhood and loved all his girls so much.  Over the next 40 years Robert and Kim lived life to the fullest traveling, camping, and enjoying their family.

Robert continued his passion for working in the sales industry and opened his own business with his good friend and they have been in business for more than 20 years.

Robert had many favorite past times over the years.  He loved horses; he loved riding them, breaking them and taking care of them.  He participated in many wagon trains over the years.  His passion for the outdoors never dimmed either; he loved camping, fishing, and hunting.  He shared this passion with his grandchildren and took them camping as often as possible.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Betty Little, mother and father in-law Marvin & Adrienne Rone, sister Linda Galovich, bother in-law David Schaumburg and his favorite dog, Doc. He is survived by his wife Kim Little, sister Diana Schaumburg, brother and sister in-laws: Tom Galovich, Linda Humes, Marty Fredrick, Judy and Rick McKinley, Sonny and Susan Rone, Tami Hartnett, daughter Amanda Sliger, son-in-law Stephen Sliger, daughter Arica Peoples, son-in-law Jason Peoples and his wonderful grandchildren: Emma Sliger, Michael Sliger, Aria Peoples and Aiden Peoples.

Robert will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.

There are no services planned, but a celebration of life will occur (details to follow). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cody Regional Hospice, Powell Senior Citizens Center and Cody Regional Health Big Horn Basin Cancer Center all organizations were close to Robert’s heart.
