Robert F Wallace

Robert F. Wallace, formerly of Billings, died December 23, 2008, in Powell, Wyoming, at the age of 88, of complications from pulmonary fibrosis, with his daughter Donna by his side.


Dad was born the son of Fred and Ina (Tate) Wallace on March 8, 1920, in Zeigler, Illinois. He married Barbara Avis on June 30, 1951.

Dad served in the Army and was stationed in Germany, France, and the Phillipines, during World War II , and was awarded three Bronze Stars.

Dad worked for HCL Equipment in Great Falls & Billings. He retired in 1986 and moved to Peeples Valley, Arizona. They moved to Powell five years ago.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tom Wallace, and daughter Jean Wallace.

Dad is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Powell; daughters Vicki Wallace of Billings, Karen (David) Wright of Lamoille, Nevada, Terri (Doug) Brandon of Anchorage, Alaska, and Donna Wallace (Marty Hanson) of Columbus, Montana; grand-daughter Danielle Ellsworth, and grand-sons Jason (Elaine) Sayre, of Val Verde, California, and Bryce Sayre of Fernley, Nevada. He is also survived by great-grandsons Aleister, Brodie, and Gavin; and great-granddaughter Kiara.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
