Ruby Haworth Winter

Ruby Haworth Winter 87, of Powell Wyoming quietly passed away on April 9, 2008 at the Big Horn Hospital, Lovell Wyoming.
She was born March 21, 1921 in Alamosa, Colorado to Jerry and Anna Gullion. Her family came from Nebraska in 1926 where they homesteaded at Whistle Creek. In 1938 she married James G. Haworth; to this union 6 children were born. They lived in Elk Basin, Powell, and Basin. James passed away in 1977. she spent many years working for a nursing home in Basin until her retirement in 1981, when she married Kenneth Winter of Powell. They spent 14 years living between Powell and Yuma Arizona. She loved playing golf and playing bingo. In 1995 Kenneth passed away. She resided at the Absaroka Assistant Living in Cody until her death.
She was a Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include six daughters, Elizabeth (Paul) Rodriguez, Powell, Rowena (Paul) Barr, Soldotna, Alaska, Mary (Tom) Watts, Powell, Vera (Howard) Brandstetter, Chugach, Alaska, Janet McGlothlin, Gillette, Phyllis (Mike) Baker, Thermopolis, and one son Jim (Beth) Haworth, Powell, on sister, Pearl (Alex) Kraft , Billings, Mt., one brother, Leonard (Estelle) Gullion, Basin, 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and four brothers. Funeral Services were conducted at the Church of Christ 749 Highway 14A Powell, on Monday April
14, at 10:00 a.m. Jerry Launchbury Officiating.
