Scott Bradley Christensen

On Friday, October 13th, 2017, Scott Bradley Christensen, husband, father, Papa, brother and son, saddled up for his last ride to Cowboy Heaven.

Scott was born May 19th, 1958 in Powell, WY to Don and Gloria (Case) Christensen. He and his sisters, Jodi and Lori, were raised on a farm out on the Willwood. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes in the McCullough Peaks, causing mischief with friends, teasing his sisters and his annual hunting trips with his dad. He graduated from Powell High School in 1976.

On December 6th, 1980, Scott married Becky (Kysar), the love of his life. Three children blessed this union with one to follow. They spent the next 15 years farming sugar beets and barley on Heart Mountain. After selling the farm in 1995, he went to work for Powell Equipment. The office life just wasn’t enough for him, so he and Becky set out on their next great adventure. They packed up and headed over the mountain to manage The Ranch at Ucross in 2003. While at Ucross, Scott was in a horse accident that nearly took his life. After 23 surgeries, years of endless aches and pains, Scott showed us all the true meaning of “cowboy tough”. In 2008, they headed back to Park County and began working at the Northwest College AL Mickelson Field Station. He spent the last 15 years of his life doing all the things he loved...riding horses, living in the mountains, entertaining and helping others.

Through all his adventures, good and bad, he had his beloved wife Becky by his side. Scott was a fun loving, kind and caring man who enjoyed the great outdoors. Hunting, fishing, razor riding, good friends, and tall drinks were just a few of his favorite things. But, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Scott is survived by his wife of 37 years, Becky; daughters Robbi
(Yancy) Welch of Powell and Jami (Tyson) Shatto of Sheridan; sons Chad Frank of Laramie, WY and Nick Frank of Cody, WY.; eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Jillian, Annalyn and Asheton Frank, Ethan and Lily Welch, and Maci and Maddi Shatto; his father, Don Christensen (Willie); sisters Jodi (Shawn) Byrne and Lori (Randy) Lohrenz; and an abundance of in-laws (outlaws), cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved tremendously.

He is was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Christensen.

The family has requested that Condolences be sent to them online at
