Stanley D. Lundberg, 84, of Powell, Wyoming, passed Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, surrounded by family at the Powell Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. March 7, 2016, at Douglas United Methodist Church, in Douglas.
Stan was born in Douglas, Wyoming, July 13, 1931, to Fred and Adelia Lundberg (Oak) on a homestead north of Douglas near Lightning Creek. He moved to Douglas with his mother after his father’s death graduating from Douglas High School in 1949. He served in the Douglas National Guard for 10 years.
Stan married Beth Beaver on April 9, 1955, in Douglas, Wyoming; they were married for 60 years. To this union, four children were born.
Stan and Beth moved to Lovell in 1967 where he owned and operated the Lovell Meat Processing plant. They returned to Douglas in 1982 where owned and operated the Douglas Meat Processing plant earning awards for his sausage and jerky.  Stan retired to Powell in 2012.
Stan enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and was member of Powell team which won the Wyoming men’s state softball championship in 1969. Stan coached many Douglas youth baseball and all-star teams and started the Babe Ruth program in Lovell. An avid fan of the Wyoming Cowboys and the Colorado Rockies as well as a big fan of the Lovell Bulldogs basketball team coached by his grandson.  Stan was so proud of all of his grandchildren; his eyes would sparkle and his smile would light up the room when talking about them.
Stan is survived by his wife Beth and 4 children: Steve Lundberg (Lynn), Terry Lundberg (Cecilia), Sheri Boston (Darrin), and Stanley Lundberg (Amie); 10 grandchildren (Craig, Kristen, Candy, Amanda, Lucas, Jessica, Jordan, Josh, Chase, and Gabri) ; 10 great grandchildren; his sister Delores Hall; and the rest of his family.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Fred Lundberg, and his sister Norma George.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Powell Senior Center, 248 N Gilbert St, Powell, WY, 82435 in memorial of Stan Lundberg.
