OBITUARY

Susan Hope (Sue) Ludewig, of Cody, WY, died Tuesday, July 22, in Billings, MT
She was 73.

Born in Bellevue, NE, on January 21, 1935, to Claude M. and Emma H.
(Langheine) Wall, she spent her pre-teen years in Omaha, Denver, and San
Francisco. In 1946, she and her family took up residence in Honolulu, HI,
where Suse grew up. She graduated from Punahou School, in Honolulu, and
attended Oregon State University and San Jose State University. In San
Francisco, CA, on Sept 17, 1955, she married Richard H. (Dick) Ludewig, of
Honolulu. The couple returned to Hawaii, took up residence in Honolulu,
raised three children, and left Hawaii in 1968. After brief residence in
Overland Park, KS, Sue and family moved to Wyoming, first to Yellowstone
National Park, and then, in 1974, to Cody, WY, where the family made its home.

Sue is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard H. (Dick) Ludewig, of
Cody, WY; son Richard D. (Lizabeth) Ludewig; daughters Piper (Richard)
Solberg, and Kimberley (Jerry) Capron; sisters Mona (Wall) Dungate and Ruth
(Wall) Mace; and four grandchildren, Nate, Cam, Kate, and Justin. She was
preceded in death by her parents, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto
and Anne Ludewig.

At home in Cody, WY since 1974, Sue was deeply committed to her family, was an
avid quilter, active with Paint Brush Piecers Quilt Guild, dedicated to Christ
Episcopal Church and church activities, and a close and valued friend to many
at home, in Hawaii, and around the world, .

A sunrise memorial celebration and burial will be held at 6:30AM, Sunday,
August 10, at Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Garden, Cody, WY. Memorials
may be sent in Sue's name to Yellowstone Quiltfest, attn: Michelle Quick,

Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1718, Cody, WY.
