Wayne Nielson

Wayne A. Nielsen passed away peacefully at his home on August 13 , 2025.

Wayne was born in Powell on October 10, 1951, to Robert and Anna Nielsen. Wayne attended school in Powell and graduated from Powell Senior High School in 1970. He was fondly referred to by his high school friends as “Squirrel”.

 Wayne was proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers Jim and Donald and his sisters Janice Hicks (Jay) of Powell and Barbara Engel (Mark) of Vancouver, WA. Nephews Robert Engel and Aaron Engel as well as great nephew Daniel and great nieces Emily and Charlotte Engel, all of Washington.

A Celebration of Life to honor Wayne will be held at a later date.

Wayne was a kind person who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
