Wyatt Eugene Wambeke

Wyatt Eugene Wambeke was born May 22nd 2016 to the proud parents Kendal and Angie Wambeke.

Wyatt was a Warrior and an inspiration to so many lives.  He was a fighter even before he was born.  He was diagnosed in utero at 25 weeks with Severe AVSD and Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation and the only “fix” would be a heart transplant.  Due to his complicated heart he was born at Denver Children’s Hospital and taken to the Cardiac ICU where he was taken care of by the intelligent and compassionate staff.  While waiting for a heart transplant, Wyatt made sure the rules or “normal” didn’t apply to him, he kept the doctors and his parents on their toes and in awe of the strength inside of his little body. Hayden and Dalan are proud big brothers of “the Wy-man” as they called him, and Penelope is the big sister of her “Baby Wyatt”. The time we had with him made a difference in so many lives in so many ways. He was a joy to all the CICU as well as his extended family and friends that were unable to meet him before he returned to heaven.  It was because of his Warrior spirit and the support of the great staff at the CICU that he had the chance to touch so many lives.  He loved bathing in the heat of his bed, loved sticking out his tongue, loved being cuddled and swaddled as well as winning over the hearts of his nurses taking care of him. On June 13, 2016 after 22 days of life, complications mounted and Wyatt’s battle came to an end. He will be missed and remembered forever.

Wyatt is survived by his Parents Kendal and Angie, brothers Hayden and Dalan, and his sister Penelope. Grandparents Paul and Troy Wambeke (Cowley), Robert and Renee Wilkerson (Powell), Great grandpa Francis Wambeke (Deaver) and Great grandma Sherron Muller (Billings, MT), Great Grandma Ruth Schreiber (Glenrock, WY) and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
